Note
Candidates must have an active Michigan Bar license in good standing and at least 1 year of civil litigation defense experience. We welcome motivated associates looking to expand their litigation experience and grow professionally.

Job Description
- Represent and defend clients in civil litigation matters in state and federal courts.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other litigation documents.
- Conduct legal research and develop effective defense strategies.
- Assist with depositions, hearings, court appearances, and trial preparation.
- Manage assigned cases and collaborate with senior attorneys on complex litigation matters.
- Communicate with clients, evaluate case developments, and contribute to successful outcomes.
- Build valuable litigation experience while taking on increasing responsibility.
Qualifications
- Active Michigan Bar license in good standing.
- 1+ years of civil litigation defense experience.
- Experience with litigation procedures, discovery, pleadings, and motion practice.
- Strong legal research, writing, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines, stay organized, and work collaboratively.
- Federal court litigation or complex civil litigation defense experience preferred.
- Healthcare litigation, medical malpractice defense, or federal civil rights defense experience is a plus.
- Comfortable working in a billable-hours environment.
