Pay: $95,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year

Location: Toledo, Ohio – Primarily on-site in a collaborative office environment with occasional flexibility to work from home when appropriate.

Note: Applicants must be licensed to practice law in Ohio and have at least 2+ years of civil litigation experience. Strong legal research and writing skills are required. Insurance defense experience is preferred but not required.

Job Description

• Manage a diverse civil litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop effective litigation strategies.
• Represent clients in hearings, depositions, mediations, and court proceedings.
• Collaborate with experienced attorneys to prepare cases for trial.
• Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients throughout the litigation process.
• Build strong client relationships through responsive communication and practical legal counsel.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio Bar license.
• 2+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Strong oral advocacy and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
• Insurance defense experience preferred but not required.
• Candidates from law firms, in-house legal departments, or solo practice are encouraged to apply.

Salary Bands (Only if attorney role):

• 2 to 3 years: $95,000 to $110,000

• 4 to 6 years: $110,000 to $130,000

• 7+ years: $130,000 to $145,000

• Annual performance bonus
