Civil Litigation Attorney Position Overview

A growing California law firm is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have experience in insurance defense and/or insurance coverage matters and be comfortable handling a variety of civil litigation responsibilities.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking for flexibility, meaningful litigation experience, and the ability to work remotely or in a hybrid arrangement in the Modesto/Sacramento area.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Defend insurance-related claims and disputes
• Assist with insurance coverage matters
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents
• Participate in discovery, depositions, hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, insurers, and other parties
• Manage assigned caseload and meet applicable deadlines

Qualifications

• California Bar admission in good standing
• 1+ years of civil litigation experience preferred, but not required
• Insurance defense and/or insurance coverage experience preferred but not required
• Strong research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and a team-oriented approach
• ABA preferred
