Job Description
- Represent clients in civil litigation matters and help develop effective legal strategies.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research, analyze complex issues, and develop persuasive legal arguments.
- Participate in discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to move cases forward efficiently.
- Communicate directly with clients and provide practical, responsive legal guidance.
- Manage case deadlines and maintain high standards of legal work.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Illinois.
- 2+ years of civil litigation experience preferred; candidates with 2+ years of strong, directly relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
- Experience with legal research, pleadings, discovery, and litigation case management.
- Strong legal writing, communication, and organizational skills.
- Courtroom or hearing experience is a plus.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Libertyville, IL.
