Our prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced, passionate, and dedicated Permanent Civil Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters, including workers compensation and insurance defense cases. This role requires a deep understanding of all aspects of litigation, from inception through resolution and appeals. Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Manage all aspects of civil litigation, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, attending court appearances, and representing clients at trials and arbitrations.
2. Handle workers compensation and insurance defense cases, including communicating with clients and opposing counsel, developing case strategies, and preparing for and conducting depositions and trials.
3. Provide legal advice to clients, ensuring they understand their rights, responsibilities, and legal options.
4. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in an effort to resolve matters efficiently and favorably.
5. Collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal professionals, contributing to case strategy discussions and sharing knowledge and insights.
6. Stay current on developments in civil litigation law, including changes to rules of procedure, case law, and statutory law.
7. Maintain professionalism and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and colleagues.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admitted to practice law in the state of Colorado and in good standing with the Colorado Bar.
3. A minimum of 5+ years of civil litigation experience, including experience with workers compensation and insurance defense cases.
4. Strong litigation skills, including experience with drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and representing clients at trials and arbitrations.
5. Excellent negotiation skills, with a proven track record of achieving favorable settlements for clients.
6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues to clients in a clear and understandable manner.
7. Ability to manage a large and diverse caseload, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.
8. Commitment to providing high-quality legal representation and exceptional client service.
9. Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to develop innovative legal strategies and solutions.
10. Proficiency with legal research tools and software, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
11. High level of professionalism and integrity, with a commitment to adhering to ethical standards.
