    Our growing Sarasota / Lakewood Ranch / Tampa, FL operations have a unique opportunity for a full-time Civil or Environmental Engineer (PE) with 815 years of experience who is seeking to take the next step in their career development. Senior professionals will mentor the selected candidate to grow into roles such as Technical Lead, Project Manager, and/or Client Services Manager for planning, pilot studies, modeling, engineering design, design-build, asset management, digital technology, business consulting, and engineering services during construction.

    The firm maintains a strong backlog of leading-edge projects, including:

    Innovative "OneWater designs, technologies, and pilot studies

    Development of best practices and decision support tools

    Artificial intelligence and collaborative project delivery

    Sustainable water/wastewater/reclaimed water designs and LIDs

    Asset management, CMOM, and "smart utility" consulting

    The role involves collaboration in various facets of engineering design and project execution, task/project management, business development, and internal operations. Candidates should be well-organized, self-motivated leaders capable of working both independently and within a collaborative team setting.

    Overview of Responsibilities:

    Prepare or oversee engineering calculations, AutoCAD 3D designs, assessments, studies, master plans, models, construction drawings, specs, permit applications, and reports

    Serve as Project Manager or Technical Lead depending on scale/complexity

    Lead pilot studies, reports, GIS/CADD/modeling efforts, CEI services, and stakeholder outreach

    Support business development, proposals, presentations, project schedules, budgets, and cost evaluations

    Research innovative technologies, regulations, and methods

    Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, vendors, and internal team

    Occasional travel within SW to West Central Florida for site visits, pilots, and client meetings

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Bachelors degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

    At least six (6) years of engineering experience

    Florida PE license or ability to obtain within 4 months

    Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)

    Strong communication skills and project management experience

    Ability to oversee support staff including engineers and CADD designers

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience with AutoCAD 3D, GIS, modeling/hydraulics, database management

    Masters degree in water/wastewater, water resources, or site development

    Prior project management experience or training
