    OVERVIEW

    Assignment

This contract Civil Engineer 1 Structural assignment will provide support to the Structural and Civil Engineering (TELD) organization within Transmission Engineering and Technical Services (TE) at *** (BPA). Structural Design provides analysis and design services to support capital improvements and general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of all structural aspects of BPA s transmission system, including transmission line towers and structures, substation structures including all equipment, bus and overhead cable supports, telecommunication towers and structures, buildings, and other structures on the transmission system.

    Organization

Structural and Civil Engineering (TELD) has a dedicated team of self-motivated people who work hard to not only get the job done, but to do it to the best of their ability. Even though the work is sometimes stressful, the group tries to maintain a jovial, light-hearted work environment. A positive work-life balance is encouraged; team members are expected to work hard while they are on the clock and to put work away when they go home. The team is collaborative and likes to have fun together so the environment can be noisy at times with some distractions, but there are also times for quiet, independent work. The team is comprised of a mix of personalities, and everyone seems to fit in with their strengths recognized. We are looking for candidates that are flexible, collaborative, team focused and able to self-start and self-manage their workload.
