Take what you're learning in the classroom and put it to work at VAA. As a Civil Engineering Intern, you won't spend your summer on the sidelines. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, contribute to real projects and see how civil design helps shape the sites and infrastructure that support the facilities that feed, fuel and power our world.

Your Role

Ever wonder what it takes to turn a site into a place where a facility can operate? You'll work with VAA's Civil team on the infrastructure that makes projects possible - gaining hands-on experience while seeing how civil engineering concepts are applied in the real world.

You'll have opportunities to:

• Assist with site layouts, grading, drainage, utilities and other civil design work
• Help prepare drawings, plans, details and project documentation
• Gain experience with civil engineering software and design tools
• Work alongside engineers and designers on real client projects
• Collaborate with structural, mechanical, electrical and other VAA disciplines
• Participate in project meetings and get out of the office for site visits

What You Bring

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited college or university
• Sophomores and juniors are encouraged to apply
• Interest in site development, infrastructure and how projects come together
• Curiosity, a positive attitude and a willingness to jump in and learn

Hourly Range: $21.00-$23.00
