Oxford Solutions is working with an engineering consulting firm seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer to join their team in either Pittsburgh, PA or Doylestown, PA. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience with land development, site design, stormwater management, and civil engineering projects.
The selected candidate will work alongside experienced engineers and project managers, developing technical skills while supporting a variety of civil engineering projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of site development, grading, drainage, and subdivision plans.
- Support stormwater management design, hydrology and hydraulic calculations, and erosion and sediment control plans.
- Prepare engineering drawings and design documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Assist with grading plans, profiles, cross-sections, and drainage systems.
- Perform basic engineering calculations and technical analysis.
- Utilize GIS software to support project planning and design.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers on project deliverables, client coordination, and proposals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
- 0-3 years of civil engineering experience; recent graduates encouraged to apply.
- Academic or professional exposure to land development, stormwater management, hydrology, or erosion and sediment control preferred.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or ArcGIS is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and willingness to learn.
