Typical Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Design and develop detailed civil construction plans for various land development (commercial/residential/municipal) projects, including site, utilities, grading, and stormwater layout/design from the beginning stage of project(s), through final construction plans, to final as-built plans under the direct supervision of a P.E.
  • Assist with permitting of land development projects 
  • Research feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and regulatory agency specifications
  • Calculate quantities, areas, etc. corresponding with civil engineering as well as prepare data required for site development, stormwater, utility, drainage, and roadway designs
  • Work with team and independently to establish and meet timelines, budgets, and project challenges
Qualifications:


  • BS Degree in Civil Engineering
  • PE or the ability to become licensed
  • Relevant land development engineering and permitting experience
  • Experience with site, grading, utilities, stormwater management design from the conceptual stage through final design 
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred)
  • Understanding of codes and regulations, and permitting requirements as related to the preparation of construction documents
  • Possess a valid Florida Driver’s License
