The ideal candidate will have experience with single-family residential development, strong Civil 3D skills, and a desire to grow into a leadership role within a growing engineering team. Position Summary
Seeking a Civil Engineer - EIT to support residential land development projects from due diligence and project acquisition through design, permitting, and construction administration. This role will work closely with Project Managers to develop engineering solutions, prepare design plans, coordinate agency approvals, and support infrastructure design efforts. The ideal candidate will have experience with single-family residential development, strong Civil 3D skills, and a desire to grow into a leadership role within a growing engineering team.
Key Responsibilities

• Support due diligence investigations, feasibility studies, cost estimates, and project planning for new land development projects.
• Prepare and coordinate civil design plans for agency approvals and client submittals.
• Design and analyze infrastructure systems, drainage systems, grading plans, and pavement improvements.
• Serve as a lead designer on residential development projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Assist with construction administration activities including site visits, bid documents, submittal reviews, and pay applications.
• Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal project teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Active EIT certification or successful completion of the FE Exam.
• 2+ years of experience in land development engineering.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience with residential or single-family development projects.
• Strong understanding of grading, drainage, and infrastructure design.
• Excellent communication and project coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-6 years of land development experience.
• Single-family residential development experience.
• ArcGIS experience.
• Experience with due diligence investigations, lot fits, and entitlement support.
• Leadership potential and interest in long-term career growth.
