This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Arizona in a collaborative team environment. You will assist with the preparation of design plans, specifications, reports, studies, cost estimates, and construction oversight for facilities such as booster pump stations, water production wells, storage tanks, sewage lift stations, odor control systems, water and wastewater treatment facilities, disinfection systems, and water and sewer pipelines and force mains. This position is ideal for an Engineer-in-Training with a strong interest and background in water and wastewater engineering who wants to grow technical skills while working alongside experienced professionals.
ResponsibilitiesYou will work in a professional consulting environment that focuses on civil engineering, surveying, and construction services for water and wastewater infrastructure. The role involves a mix of office-based design and documentation work and periodic fieldwork for site and field inspections. You will collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team that includes civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical engineers, as well as designers and drafters. The team culture emphasizes creativity, responsiveness, and a personable, collaborative approach, with staff ranging from highly experienced professionals to recent graduates and interns, creating a strong learning and mentoring environment. Standard office tools such as Microsoft Office and PDF editing software are used daily, along with design and modeling tools like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modeling software such as WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, or EPANET. Work is typically fast-paced and project-driven, requiring effective time management to meet deadlines and support multiple concurrent assignments. Field visits may require appropriate attire and safety gear suitable for construction and utility sites.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $48.00/hr.
