Description

Job Title: Civil DesignerJob Description

We are seeking candidates with 3 to 5 years of design experience, preferably in site development, to join our growing team. You will have the opportunity to use your experience to play a lead role in civil engineering design, guided by a Project Manager and supported by other team members. Our commitment to training and development will allow you to grow in your career and take on new responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Create civil engineering plans and technical specifications.
  • Develop engineering calculations for stormwater, utilities, and earthwork.
  • Work with the Project Manager to execute the design, create work plans, and track tasks and deliverables.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of relevant design experience, preferably in site development.
  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering.
  • E.I.T. certification.
  • Working knowledge of codes, regulations, and standards applicable to the design and construction of major site development projects in California.
  • Working knowledge of typical computer software programs used for civil engineering design, including AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Hydrology and Hydraulic software, and WaterCAD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to function effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to focus on client satisfaction.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to concurrently manage multiple priorities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in land development, stormwater management, grading, drainage, civil design, and site design.
  • Professional engineer status or working towards it.
  • Willingness to mentor entry-level engineers and interns.

The position offers flexible work hours and can transition to a hybrid model after 90 days. The new office boasts a great location with open windows and a stunning view. This is a Contract position based out of Roseville, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.44 - $60.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
