Civil Designer - Charlotte

POSITION OVERVIEW

A well-established multidisciplinary planning, design, and engineering firm is seeking motivated and experienced Civil Designers for its Winston-Salem and Charlotte, North Carolina offices. The Civil Designer will collaborate with senior engineers, landscape architects, planners, and other design professionals to transform conceptual master plans into detailed, constructible site-development plans.

The project portfolio is diverse and may include commercial, industrial, healthcare, senior living, municipal parks, urban design, and higher-education campus projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Produce high-quality civil/site construction drawings from conceptual design through final plan production.
• Develop site, erosion control, grading, drainage, utility, stormwater management, and site-detail plans.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D for surface modeling, alignments, profiles, grading, and construction-plan production.
• Coordinate design information across engineering, landscape architecture, planning, and related disciplines.
• Apply sound judgment, attention to detail, and quality-control practices to drawings and design documentation.
• Support multiple projects and priorities while meeting established schedules and deliverable expectations.
