Summary : The individual in this role supports and assists experienced engineers and other multidisciplined team members throughout the planning and design phases for regional industrial and commercial projects. Research, evaluate and execute appropriate engineering techniques and code provisions for a wide range of projects with unique needs.

Civil Design Engineer (focus on Bridges)

Buffalo, NY | Full-Time | $70 – 85K, depending on experience 
Summary:

• The individual in this role supports and assists experienced engineers and other multidisciplined team members throughout the planning and design phases for regional industrial and commercial projects.

Job Duties:

• Use AutoCAD for pretty much everything – for example, preparing engineering plans, drawings and models.
• Research, evaluate and execute appropriate engineering techniques and code provisions for a wide range of projects with unique needs.
• Prepares drawings and visual aids.
• Observes construction activities.
• Perform erosion control, site grading and other civil/municipal tasks.
• Compile maps, reports and forms.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree, Civil or Structural Engineering focus
• 4+ years of civil/municipal engineering experience
• EIT Certification, or planning to take FE Exam
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil3D, Revit and/or OpenRoads
• An understanding of construction plans/specifications and their application to public works projects
