    Position Overview:

    Ensures an adequate inventory of supplies and equipment for perfusion and blood salvage devices in the operating room environment. Performs autologous blood salvage for both pediatric and adult patients under the direction of the surgeon, anesthesiologist and/or perfusionist. Assembles zero balance and calibration pressure monitoring transducers used for physiologic monitoring of patients. Maintains basic anesthesia and other medical equipment.

    Job Description:

    EDUCATION:

    • Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

    • HS Diploma: High School Diploma or General Education (GED) or equivalent education/experience

    • OR Other: College or equivalent of two years with emphasis in the sciences, biology and/or mathematics. or equivalent education/experience


    CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

    • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider


    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

    • Skilled in the use of hardware and disposable devices used by perfusionists during cardiovascular perfusion.

    • Knowledge of English language w/ written and verbal communication skills.

    • Interpersonal and customer service skills.

    • Basic keyboarding and computer skills.

    • Ability to train others.

    • Ability to maintain levels of inventory to assure availability.

    • Basic math skills demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail.

    • Must be flexible and able to function independently.

    • Manages multiple demands in a rapidly changing and challenging environment and take appropriate actions in emergent situations.

    • Ability to effectively troubleshoot problems with equipment.

    Pay Range is $28.75 to $40.24 / hour

    The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
