Eligibility List Opportunities:
Non-exempt (compensatory and/or overtime eligible); part-time or full-time; 18-40 hours per week; scheduled varied workdays and hours that include daytime, weekday evenings and weekends (both days) during FCPL operating schedule, benefits and participation in the Maryland State Retirement and Pension System subject to FTE employment status; position subject to system-wide reassignment
This clerical position performs responsible duties related to all operations of an FCPL circulation desk and the automated circulation system. A significant amount of public contact is involved; therefore courteous, proficient customer relations skills are vital. Direction may be received from the Senior Circulation Clerk; supervision is received from the Circulation Services Supervisor and/or Branch Administrator.
NOTE: The upper pay range reflects possible wage rates for internal County transfers and promotions, which are calculated per County policy. For external hires, offers are made at the base wage rate.

The Frederick County Public Libraries (FCPL) system operates under the authority of the FCPL Board of Trustees. FCPL has adopted the Frederick County (Government) Personnel Rules except where those rules conflict with state law relating to public libraries or with FCPL personnel procedures
Pension Plan:
FCPL employees who qualify are required by state law to participate in the Maryland State Teacher's Pension System and are subject to the laws governing this plan.
Savings Plan - Deferred Compensation:
The County offers a Section 457 Plan. Deferred compensation plans allow participants to save for retirement now and pay taxes later by contributing a portion of their salaries pre-tax to the plan. Contributions are invested at the employees direction into one or more of the variety of investment options offered by the plan. Changes may be made to the contribution levels, investment options, etc. at any time.
