PGS Worldwide is seeking a Circuit Card Design Engineer in Orlando, FL for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.

The Circuit Card Design Engineer will support architecture, schematic capture, EPCAD layout, integration, and testing for advanced power distribution circuit card assemblies. This role works with cross-functional engineering teams to support design, procurement, prototype build-up, testing, and Design Assurance reviews. The position requires strong circuit card design experience, power electronics experience, schematic capture experience, and the ability to develop and refine system, performance, interface, and environmental requirements.

Required Skills

Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

8+ years of professional electrical engineering experience.

8+ years of experience developing and refining system requirements, including performance, interface, and environmental requirements.

8+ years of experience with circuit card design, integration, and test for power electronics.

8+ years of experience with Siemens Xpedition Enterprise or equivalent schematic capture tool.

Experience supporting architecture, schematic capture, layout, signal routing, and circuit card design activity.

Ability to work with systems, electromechanical, programmable logic/software, and manufacturing teams.

Ability to manage design data and evidence required for Design Assurance reviews.

Ability to support bill of materials, part sourcing, and prototype build-up activities.

Preferred Skills

Experience with system power design and power distribution architecture.

Experience with EMI grounding and isolation techniques.

Experience with Design Assurance processes.

What You’ll Do

Support development of a power distribution circuit card assembly.

Define, refine, and document system, performance, interface, and environmental requirements.

Conduct trade studies to evaluate design options and recommend optimal implementations.

Capture schematics and collaborate with EPCAD teams on layout and signal routing solutions.

Own end-to-end circuit card designs through Design Assurance reviews.

Generate and maintain architecture diagrams, requirements packages, and trade study reports.

Manage bill of materials, part sourcing, and prototype build-up activities.

Verify design compliance with shock, vibration, and other environmental qualification standards.

Work Schedule / Shift

Onsite 3 days per week.

Pay

$87.74 per hour
