Experienced Circuit Board Soldering Technician
Location: Tulsa, OK
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Overtime: Some Saturdays may be required
HireCall is seeking an experienced Circuit Board Soldering Technician for an electronics manufacturing company in Tulsa, OK. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in precision soldering, electronic component assembly, and printed circuit board (PCB) inspection.
The right candidate will have excellent attention to detail, steady hands, and the ability to produce high-quality work while following technical instructions and established quality standards.
Responsibilities
Perform precision hand soldering of electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs).
Assemble and install through-hole and surface-mount components as required.
Read and follow technical drawings, schematics, component layouts, and work instructions.
Inspect solder joints and completed circuit boards for quality, accuracy, and defects.
Identify and correct soldering issues, including cold solder joints, solder bridges, and insufficient solder.
Use soldering irons, soldering stations, magnification equipment, and other electronic assembly tools.
Perform circuit board rework, component replacement, and repairs as needed.
Follow electrostatic discharge (ESD) procedures when handling sensitive electronic components.
Maintain accurate production records and follow established quality and safety procedures.
Keep the work area clean and organized while meeting production expectations.
Qualifications
Previous circuit board soldering or electronic assembly experience is required.
Proficiency in precision hand soldering and electronic component installation.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
Knowledge of solder joint inspection and common soldering defects.
Experience with through-hole soldering; surface-mount technology (SMT) experience is a plus.
Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable attendance and commitment to quality workmanship.
Preferred Experience
Electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, or electronic equipment repair.
Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 standards.
Experience with circuit board troubleshooting, rework, and repair.
Knowledge of ESD protection procedures.
