What You’ll Do
- Assemble/disassemble equipment per OEM guidance for complete cleaning and sanitizing.
- Operate CIP systems to sanitize tanks, pipelines, and processing equipment.
- Conduct basic PM on gaskets, seals, O-rings, and plates per the Master Sanitation Schedule.
- Track and record cycle times, chemical concentrations, flow rates, heat-up temps, and sanitizer strengths.
- Maintain plant housekeeping—floors, walls, ceilings, vents, lights, and equipment exteriors.
- Execute pre-op checks on pumps, valves, agitators, alcoves, and clamps prior to start-up.
- Collect samples for QA testing.
- Complete documentation that is clear, legible, accurate, and complete.
- Document in alignment with SOP requirements.
- Follow all safety procedures and general sanitation practices, including chemical handling.
- Comply with allergen sanitation and isolation protocols.
- Use hazardous chemicals safely; operate scissor lifts with fall protection.
- Operate an electric walk-behind hand jack and forklift for sanitation activities.
- Work effectively in consistently wet conditions.
- Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and upper management.
- Support productivity and continuous improvement projects.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and conduct 5S/area audits.
- Accurately log CIP and filler cleaning records.
- Use chemical foaming equipment for manual cleaning.
- Disassemble/reassemble manufacturing equipment as part of sanitation.
- Enter work orders via the automated Maintenance Work Order System.
- Prepare manufacturing equipment for CIP.
- Perform manual cleaning of filler and support equipment and surrounding areas.
- Conduct pre- and post-CIP inspections for filler equipment.
- Perform verification swabbing to confirm cleanliness.
- Confirm cleaning and inspection completion to release equipment to production.
- Engage in sanitation-related Root Cause investigations.
- Carry out chemical titrations.
- Apply advanced knowledge of valves, pumps, and instrumentation.
- Utilize advanced understanding of CIP and sanitation practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Need
- Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Comfort in wet areas; exposure to dust, gas/fumes, and cleaning chemicals.
- Availability for overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Team-focused approach and ability to perform in a demanding setting.
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment screens (including drug, background, and criminal checks).
- Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures.
- Math proficiency: whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Communicate clearly to present information and respond to managers/clients.
- Mechanical familiarity across plant machinery and equipment.
- Ability to wear a company-issued uniform.

Pay & Benefits
- Hourly, full-time
- Starting pay: $19/hour
