The Administrative Assistant works under the Executive Assistant to support Cinematic Arts operations and members. He/she also serves as an ambassador of the departments programs to visitors and contacts. Primary areas of responsibility include monitoring the front desk and administrative spaces, tracking student enrollment and Continuance Gate forms, making department purchases, and assisting with recruitment efforts. The position requires a friendly demeanor and professional appearance, a helpful spirit, good interpersonal communication skills, technological competency, the ability to prioritize and process multiple tasks simultaneously to completion, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team. Prior experience as a student in our undergraduate degree program is preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Occupies front desk as department ambassador, professionally receiving visitors, answering phone calls, answering emails, and processing questions
Maintains administrative suite orderliness and administrative inventory, including printer, film library, office supplies, breakroom supplies, classroom supplies, hallway décor, and storage
Processes mail and shipments
Processes department facilities issues (non-equipment related)
Manages conference room and classroom reservations
Tasks the office student worker position
Makes purchases for department, staying current in knowledge of LU purchasing policies, procedures, and systems
Reconciles all p-card expenditures
Coordinates travel for department
Tracks student Continuance Gate submissions, decisions, and enrollments
Supports coordination of efforts for departmental promotional activities, including:
Cinematic Arts Spring Student Showcase
Department participation in LU CFAW events
Visitor Center-sponsored tours and VIP tours
Assists recruitment efforts, including occasional phone calls to potential students
Assists department personnel as time permits
Strictly adheres to Liberty University policies, representing the University in an exemplary manner.
Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LUs Christian model and Mission Training Champions for Christ.

Driving Requirements
Use of ones personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) is required for short-distance travel in the performance of the essential functions of this position. Proof of a valid Virginia drivers license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.
