Chelmsford Public Schools - Announcement of Teaching Vacancies for the 2026- 2027 School Year

The Chelmsford Public Schools is now accepting applications for the following anticipated vacancy. The District reserves the right to change this vacancy or not fill this vacancy based on further staffing changes, enrollment, or budget.

Position: CHS After School Technical Director Location: Chelmsford High School

Description: The Tech Director will collaborate with the director of the fall musical and the competition play director, as well as CPS Tech Director Tom Peterson, to educate, supervise and manage students across most areas of technical design including sound, lighting, scenic, costumes and properties.

This work also incudes overseeing all technical aspects of the theatre while in use by the theatre guild. The Tech Director is to ensure proper use and care of equipment and the facility by overseeing and training users in the operation of theatrical lighting and sound. The Tech Director will be responsible for maintaining the care and suggesting repair of facility and equipment in the space.

This is a NON-FTE position that is linked to two stipends in the Chelmsford teachers'' contract.
