Summary
As part of a congregation staff team at the Austin Stone Community Church, the Childcare Coordinator will be responsible for safely coordinating any childcare event planned by the congregation staff team.
The Childcare Coordinator position will come alongside other ministries to provide safe and enjoyable care for children in order that their parents may be equipped, receive care, or pray and worship. The Childcare Coordinator will report to the KIDS Ministry Director for vision, development and oversight. They will work to ensure that any childcare provided for events outside of Sunday morning worship are planned and executed safely and with excellence.

In order to lead effectively at The Austin Stone, a Childcare Coordinator must have the following competencies:
Administration - Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and implement event programming. Integrate multiple perspectives and synthesize them into a cohesive plan. Strong ability to support multiple projects simultaneously, with dependability and excellence.
Communication - Has clarity of speech and proper use of grammar. Demonstrated capacity to inspire, instruct, and encourage through effective communication in various settings. Able to communicate and work within a complex organizational structure with multiple layers of input. Ability to engage and interact with children in a large group setting.
Detail Oriented & Organizational Skills - Proven skills in creating, implementing, maintaining, and following through on processes that ensure people are engaged, cared for, informed and connected. Ability to coordinate multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Able to successfully develop new and better ways to work and promote a continuous improvement mentality.
Collaboration - Collaborate across the organization and with various ministry partners. Ability to integrate multiple perspectives and synthesize them into a cohesive plan.
Leadership Skills - Ability to recruit and manage childcare contract workers.
