School Age Childcare Coach

 

Open Position: Part-Time School Age Childcare Coach

Position Schedule:Monday to Friday - 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Location: 2800 Main Ave, Fargo, ND, 58103

Department: After School Age Childcare

Schedule: Part-time; after-school, school-out day, and summer camp shifts

Intro:

Do you enjoy helping kids build confidence, make friends, and stay active? TNT

Kid’s Fitness & Gymnastics is looking for a Part-Time Childcare Coach to

create a fun, safe, and welcoming experience for children in kindergarten

through fifth grade. You’ll lead activities, build relationships, and help

children of all abilities feel included.

What you’ll do

• Supervise and engage children during after-school care, school-out day camps, and summer camps.

• Lead movement-based activities, games, arts and crafts, and other age-appropriate activities.

• Support children with homework, reading, and positive social interactions.

• Serve snacks and help maintain clean, organized activity spaces.

• Supervise children on field trips to parks, pools, and community events.

• Drive a 15-passenger van or activity bus when assigned and authorized. (Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record.)

• Follow safety procedures, maintain accurate attendance and child counts, and communicate concerns to the School-Age Childcare Manager.

• The ability to keep children engaged, actively supervised, and safe.

• A positive, dependable teammate who communicates well and adapts to a busy environment.

• The ability to meet applicable North Dakota childcare licensing requirements and TNT’s requirements for training, background checks, and certifications.

• The ability to meet TNT’s driver eligibility requirements for assigned transportation duties.

Experience in childcare, education, camps, coaching, or youth programs is helpful but not required. TNT will train you in the required job skills and certifications.

Schedule

After-school care operates Monday through Friday, from 2:00–5:30 p.m. during the school year

**This is an active role. Coaches move throughout the facility and activity spaces, participate in children’s activities, and may move or set up equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals to perform the essential functions of the position. **

Certifications

TNT pays for required training and certifications, which must generally be completed within the first three months of employment.

  • Fingerprint background check through the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certification for adults, children, and infants.
  • CDC HEADS UP Concussion Training.
  • Required USA Gymnastics certifications.

Physical Requirements

This is an active role. Coaches demonstrate skills, move throughout the gym, assist athletes, and position themselves in a variety of ways to support safe participation and instruction. The position may require moving, adjusting, or setting up equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
