Childcare Center Cook- Preschool

The Learning Experience- Oak Creek is looking for a dependable Childcare Center Cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for our children while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen.
This is a great opportunity for someone with food preparation or kitchen experience who wants a consistent weekday schedule in a positive childcare environment - without restaurant nights and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks according to established menus
- Follow appropriate portion sizes and meal schedules
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen
- Properly store, label, rotate, and monitor food and supplies
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Maintain awareness of children's allergies and dietary restrictions
- Distribute meals and snacks to classrooms
- Wash dishes and maintain kitchen equipment and food preparation areas
- Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to center leadership
- Maintain required food service documentation
- Work collaboratively with teachers and center leadership
- Follow Wisconsin childcare, health, sanitation, and food safety requirements
Qualifications
- Previous professional cooking, kitchen, or food preparation experience preferred
- Experience preparing food for children, schools, childcare programs, or group settings is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food storage practices
- Food Handler or ServSafe certification preferred
- Dependable, organized, and able to work independently
- Ability to accommodate documented food allergies and dietary restrictions
- Must meet applicable Wisconsin requirements for the position
