Cornerstone Learning Center – Oakland is looking for a passionate, self-motivated, and energetic Assistant Director to join our leadership team! If you're a dedicated early childhood education professional with experience as a Lead Teacher and a heart for helping children thrive, we’d love to meet you.
Position Details
- Title: Assistant Director
- Location: Oakland, TN
- Schedule: Monday – Friday (varying shifts based on center needs)
- Compensation: $17 – $19 per hour (based on education and experience)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- CDA or Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Previous experience working in a licensed childcare facility as a Lead Teacher
- Managerial or supervisory experience in a childcare setting strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of state licensing regulations and early childhood best practices
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Center Director in daily operations and center management
- Assist in developing and implementing programs that support child growth and staff development
- Conduct enrollment activities, including family tours and marketing efforts
- Ensure state and company licensing compliance through regular checks
- Guide teaching staff in curriculum development and classroom organization
- Foster strong, professional relationships with families and staff
- Physically able to engage with children, including lifting (up to 40 lbs), walking, sitting, running, and using stairs
