Child Welfare Trainer / Content Developer

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in instructional design, curriculum development, eLearning content creation, and delivering instructor-led and virtual training programs for adult learners. We are seeking an experienced Child Welfare Trainer / Content Developer to support the training and implementation of a Child Welfare Information System (CWIS).

We are seeking an experienced Child Welfare Trainer / Content Developer to support the training and implementation of a Child Welfare Information System (CWIS).

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in instructional design, curriculum development, eLearning content creation, and delivering instructor-led and virtual training programs for adult learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze application functionality and translate requirements into effective training materials.

• Design and develop instructor-led training courses and eLearning content.

• Create and maintain training materials, templates, and documentation.

• Develop interactive instructional content, simulations, and online learning presentations.

• Deliver classroom, virtual, and webinar-based training sessions.

• Collaborate with business teams, technical teams, training developers, and subject matter experts.

• Conduct quality assurance reviews of training materials.

• Evaluate student progress and provide feedback on training effectiveness.

• Assist with course scheduling, classroom preparation, student registration, and training coordination.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in curriculum design and training material development for adult learners.

• Minimum 3 years of experience understanding social services programs.

• Experience in instructional design and computer-based training development.

• Experience with LMS technologies such as Moodle, XML, and HTML.

• Hands-on experience with Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Photoshop, Visio, or similar tools.

• Experience developing interactive eLearning courses, simulations, and instructional presentations.

• Experience delivering classroom, virtual, and webinar training.

• Experience with business analysis and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Experience collaborating with SMEs and technical teams.

• Experience in training QA, student evaluation, and curriculum improvement.

Highly Desired

• Experience with NC FAST case management software.

• Knowledge of North Carolina Medicaid programs.

• Child welfare or social services domain experience.

• Basic application software and hardware troubleshooting.

• Strong communication and presentation skills.
