Job Summary The Director at the University of Michigan-Flints Early Childhood Development Center in collaboration with Center staff and participating families provides an early childcare and education program that supports excellence in learning. The Director is responsible for assuring that the programs curriculum and teaching are carried out in accordance with the Centers philosophy while being fiscally responsible. The Director provides support and guidance in documentation for Child Care Licensing Great Start to Quality and and provides supervision and mentorship for staff working with children. In addition the Director will supervise all aspects of the program to provide a high-quality Reggio Emilia inspired program for young children along with college students faculty staff and the community.
The Director reports to the Dean of the College of Arts Sciences & Education CASE or their designated person.

Modes of Work Onsite The work requires or the supervisor approves a fully onsite presence. Onsite is defined as a designated U-M owned or leased work location within or outside of the State of Michigan.
Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobileremote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time and for any reason throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes here.
