Madison College is continuing to expand childcare services at the Early Learning Centers located at Goodman South and Truax campuses and is seeking a Child Care Cook to join the team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a growing program focused on providing high-quality care and supporting the healthy development of young children.
The Child Care Cook supports the preparation and delivery of nutritious meals for children aged six weeks to five years while promoting high nutritional standards and maintaining a safe, clean kitchen environment. Working alongside the Childcare Food Specialist, this position assists with food preparation, meal service, cleanup and sanitation in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.
The role also leads kitchen operations in the absence of the Food Specialist and supports the learning environment through light housekeeping duties, including laundry, dishwashing and sanitizing children’s areas and toys. The Child Care Cook contributes to the health, safety and well-being of children by ensuring nutritious meals are prepared and served safely while maintaining a clean and welcoming early learning environment.
Position Details:
Schedule: This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Scheduled Monday through Friday during operational hours of 7:45am to 4:45pm. Specific work hours will vary based on departmental and operational needs, including time at each center weekly.
