The Child Care PRN Assistant provides flexible, on-call support in the classroom and activity areas. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, thrives in a dynamic environment, and can step in seamlessly when additional coverage is needed.
Assist lead teachers and staff with daily classroom activities
Supervise children to ensure safety and well-being at all times
Support learning activities, playtime, and structured programs
Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment
Communicate effectively with staff regarding daily routines and needs
Follow all safety, health, and licensing guidelines
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience working with children (daycare, preschool, church nursery, camp, etc.) preferred
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to be flexible and available on short notice
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Patient, energetic, and dependable
A positive and nurturing attitude
Reliability and punctuality
The ability to adapt quickly to different age groups and classroom settings
