JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position performs advanced level managerial work serving as the Chief of Bureau of Educator Certification and works under the Executive Staff Director - DOE (Deputy Chancellor for Educator Quality). Position is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Operations Sections, Evaluations Section, and the Policy Development Section and provides guidance and support to management staff over those sections. Provides direction in the planning and goal setting in relation to the mission of the Department of Education.

It is the policy of the Florida Department of Education that applicants for employment/volunteer undergo Level 2 Background screening in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 435, Florida Statutes, as a condition of employment or being permitted to serve as a volunteer.
