Job Description:
The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is responsible for leading and overseeing all medical services across Valle del Sol health centers, including primary care, psychiatric, behavioral health, and opioid treatment services. This executive position balances clinical care (20\u201340% of time) with strategic leadership duties (60\u201380%), ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered, and integrated healthcare. The CMO directly supervises the Medical Director of Primary Care and Psychiatry and collaborates across departments to align care standards, improve outcomes, and support provider excellence.

Job Qualifications:
Completion of Medical School, Family Medicine Residency, or Internal Medicine fellowship.
Board certification from an appropriate specialty board recognized by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
Current license or the qualifications to obtain a license to practice medicine, with full prescribing authority, as granted by the State of Arizona.
Meet and maintain Valle del Sol's physician credentialing privileges.
7 years of recent experience in a primary care practice, teamed with physicians and advanced practice providers, serving multigenerational and multicultural patients.
5 years of leadership experience related to programmatic, departmental, physician, or medical staff administration.
Basic Life Support trained or the ability to be trained within 10 business days from hire date.
TB Screening Record and PPD/QuantiFERON/Chest x-ray upon hire (as applicable).
Vaccinations/Titer's Test/Declination Form: Flu, Hep B, MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Covid-19.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must possess reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance.
Must possess or obtain a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card (if required for the role).
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Must be able to pass pre- and continued employment screenings successfully.
