Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated strength in operations management, process improvement, project management, and service delivery excellence. Strong leadership, organizational, and people-management skills, including the ability to develop and lead senior technical leaders. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present complex technical and operational issues to executive leadership and governing boards. Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change with discipline, transparency, and accountability. Ability to make sound, timely decisions under pressure and manage competing priorities.
Job Function
Provide college-wide technology vision, leadership, and operational oversight for formulating, evaluating, and implementing information technology, digital transformation, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives that sustain and improve the efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of its business operations.
Job Responsibilities
Education
Bachelor's degree required in computer science, information technology, management information systems, public technology administration, or related field. Master's degree in information systems, operations management, business administration, public administration, or a closely related discipline is preferred.
Qualifications
Ten (10) or more years of progressively responsible information technology leadership experience. Demonstrated success leading enterprise-scale IT operations, budgets, staffing, and service delivery in a complex organization. Proven ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on operational leadership, including high-availability environments and multi-campus support. Experience leading or overseeing major enterprise system modernization initiatives, including SaaS ERP/SIS platforms. Recognized expertise in cybersecurity, data governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance in higher education or similarly regulated environments. Demonstrated understanding of the mission, role, and function of a large comprehensive community college is required.
