The client is a critical access hospital in Franklinton, Louisiana, providing comprehensive healthcare services to the local community and surrounding areas.
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time, on-site leadership role based at the client in Franklinton, LA. The CFO oversees all financial operations, including budgeting, financial planning, cash flow management, and long-term financial strategy to support the hospital’s mission and growth. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, monitoring key performance indicators, and providing financial insights to the executive team and Board. The CFO manages finance department staff, maintains internal controls, ensures compliance with healthcare regulations and accounting standards, and collaborates with clinical and operational leaders on cost management and revenue optimization. This role also involves leading financial risk assessments, supporting capital projects, and contributing to strategic decision-making across the organization.
Candidates should possess strong skills in Financial Planning and Finance to lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial strategy.
· Candidates should possess expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely financial information for internal and external stakeholders.
· Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, evaluate operational performance, and support evidence-based decision-making.
· Extensive experience in healthcare finance or hospital financial management is highly beneficial.
· Proven leadership experience managing finance teams and collaborating with senior executives and clinical leaders.
· Thorough knowledge of GAAP, regulatory requirements, and reimbursement models relevant to healthcare organizations.
· Advanced proficiency with financial systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.
· Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; a master’s degree or CPA designation is preferred.
