Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership and Organizational Oversight: You will provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization, optimizing the handling of bank and deposit relationships, and initiating appropriate strategies to enhance cash.

2. Budgeting, Forecasting, and Cash Management: You will be responsible for the development and execution of the organization's budgeting and financial forecasting, ensuring all financial operations are in line with the organization's goals and objectives.

3. Financial Reporting and GAAP Compliance: You will oversee the production of timely and accurate financial reports, ensuring that the organization complies with all GAAP guidelines.

4. Grant Management and Funding Oversight: You will manage and oversee all grants, ensuring that they are utilized and reported correctly.

5. Personnel Leadership and Policy Implementation: You will lead the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. You will also implement finance-related policies and procedures, ensuring they are followed across the organization.

6. Contract Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: You will ensure that all financial contracts, agreements, and grants meet legal requirements and organizational policies.

7. Board Reporting and Executive Advising: You will report financial results and projections to the board of directors and provide expert advice on all financial matters.

8. Community Relations and Public Representation: You will represent the organization in its relationships with partners, donors, and the public, ensuring a positive image and reputation.

9. Program Development and Operational Planning: You will contribute to the development of new programs and strategic initiatives, providing financial insights and projections.

10. Audit Coordination and Financial Controls: You will coordinate all audit activities, ensuring the organization's financial operations are transparent and adhere to high standards of accountability and control.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; advanced degree or professional certification (such as CPA or CFA) preferred.

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role, with a proven track record of success.

3. Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

4. Experience with financial and accounting software applications.

5. Strong leadership skills, with an ability to inspire and motivate a team.

6. Excellent communication skills, with an ability to clearly convey financial information to a non-financial audience.

7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic approach to financial management.

8. Experience in grant management and funding oversight.

9. Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

10. Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
