What Is The Role...
The Chief Executive Officer will provide strategic leadership, fundraising oversight, and operational direction for the Animal Defense League of Texas. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will lead organizational growth, cultivate key stakeholder relationships, drive fundraising and capital campaign efforts, and champion the ADL's mission of saving the lives of dogs and cats.

YOUR TYPICAL DAY...
Lead the organization's strategic direction while ensuring alignment with the ADL's mission, goals, and long-term vision
Cultivate relationships with major donors, corporate partners, community leaders, and animal welfare organizations
Drive fundraising efforts, capital campaign initiatives, and financial sustainability strategies
Partner closely with the Board of Directors on governance, planning, and organizational performance
BACKGROUND PROFILE...
Proven executive leadership experience within a nonprofit or mission-driven organization, with responsibility for strategy, operations, and financial performance.
Animal welfare or similar industry experience highly preferred. Knowledge and understanding of legislation and advocacy in this area is important.
Accustomed to serving in close partnership with Development efforts, supporting major donor cultivation, and leading significant capital campaign or growth initiatives.
Strong relationship-builder with experience partnering with boards, community leaders, city, state and national offices while serving as the public face of an organization
