    Summary

    A multi-state behavioral health organization is seeking a CEO to lead the business through its next stage of growth.

    This is a true enterprise leadership role requiring someone who can set the strategic direction of the business, build and lead a strong executive team, and drive performance across a complex, multi-state organization. The right leader will operate comfortably at the board and ownership level while maintaining a strong command of the underlying operations, financial performance, market dynamics, and key issues affecting the business.

    The ideal candidate will bring significant healthcare leadership experience and a track record of successfully leading and scaling organizations. Experience in a private equity-backed environment, or working with sophisticated investors through periods of growth, transformation, or a transaction, is strongly preferred.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the overall strategy, performance, and direction of the organization across multiple states

    • Own company-wide operational and financial performance, including growth, profitability, quality, and execution

    • Build, lead, develop, and hold accountable a strong senior leadership team across key functions

    • Maintain a strong command of operating performance across markets, including financial results, staffing, clinical performance, growth, and other key business drivers

    • Establish clear goals, KPIs, and accountability throughout the organization

    • Identify and execute opportunities to improve performance, efficiency, scalability, and consistency across the business

    • Drive organic growth, market expansion, service-line development, and other strategic initiatives

    • Ensure the organization has the leadership structure, systems, processes, and infrastructure required to support continued growth

    • Partner closely with ownership, investors, and the board on strategy, performance, and major business decisions

    • Engage directly on important operating issues, challenge assumptions, and ensure key initiatives and problems are driven through to resolution

    • Maintain a strong understanding of reimbursement, regulatory dynamics, labor, competitive trends, and other factors affecting the business

    • Balance long-term strategic thinking with strong execution and accountability across the organization

    Requirements

    • Significant executive leadership experience within healthcare

    • Experience leading a healthcare organization, business unit, or platform with $25M+ in revenue, ideally across multiple locations or states

    • Behavioral health experience strongly preferred

    • Strong strategic, operational, and financial acumen

    • Proven track record of successfully scaling an organization and improving performance

    • Experience in a PE-backed healthcare business, working closely with investors, or leading through a transaction or exit strongly preferred

    • Ability to operate at the enterprise level while maintaining a strong command of operating performance, financials, KPIs, and the key drivers of the business

    • Strong leadership presence with the ability to build, develop, and hold a senior executive team accountable

    • Willingness and ability to engage directly on important business issues when needed rather than managing solely from a high level

    • Comfortable working with ownership, boards, and sophisticated financial stakeholders

    • Decisive, commercially minded, highly accountable, and execution-oriented
