Description

Russ Hadick & Assocites, Inc has been retained by a client to search and qualify candidates for their Chief Engineer popening. This person provides technical leadership and strategic direction for the engineering organization responsible for the design, development, and execution of new systems, including both standard products and highly customized engineered solutions. This position serves as the company's highest technical authority for product engineering and is responsible for ensuring engineering excellence, product quality, innovation, safety, and compliance across the organization''s portfolio.

Job Responsibilities

The ideal candidate possesses a strong electrical engineering background with extensive experience in machine controls, motor drives, automation, power distribution, and industrial control systems. While providing leadership across mechanical, structural, and electrical engineering disciplines, the Chief Engineer is expected to be the organization''''s subject matter expert in electrical systems and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Experience

15+ years of progressive engineering experience in industrial equipment, heavy machinery, automation, or engineered-to-order manufacturing.
Minimum 5+ years leading engineering teams and technical organizations.
Extensive experience with electrical systems, industrial controls, and automation.
Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams preferred

Technical Knowledge

Industrial electrical systems
PLC programming and industrial automation
Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
Motion control systems
Motor controls and power distribution
Industrial networking and communications
Functional safety systems
NEC, NFPA 70, OSHA, ANSI, and CMAA standards
Structural and mechanical design principles
CAD and electrical design software
ERP and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems

Education:

Bachelor''''s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
Master''''s degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Management preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
