Step into a mission-critical facility in Arlington, VA where your leadership directly supports reliable utilities, life safety systems, and day-to-day building operations. In this Chief Engineer opportunity, you’ll oversee mechanical and critical systems across a 15-acre campus with approximately 250,000 sq. ft. of building space.

Qualifications and responsibilities for this Chief Engineer position include:

  • 5 years of experience (within the past 7 years) as a Chief Engineer or Asst Chief Engineer in a commercial building of similar size and complexity
  • Master HVAC License or DC/MD/VA 1st Class Steam Engineer License
  • Must possess a current and active Secret clearance, or have ability to obtain one
  • Proficient in computer applications including work order systems and email applications
  • Knowledge of, and experience with CMMS and BAS systems
  • Supervise employees engaged in operation, maintenance, and repair of high- and low-pressure steam distribution systems and related air and water pressure systems
  • Conduct routine assessments and perform preventative and reactive maintenance while continuously reviewing operating and servicing functions to prevent breakdowns
  • Operate and maintain critical systems including HVAC, UPS, generators, switchgear, life safety and building automated systems, and utility systems

Salary: $55.52 - $57.32 per hour (union position; will increase to $57.32 in October).
