Chemistry Lab Technician

We are hiring for a Lab Technician in the Lancaster, Ohio area! This is a long-term career opportunity and will primarily be performing chemistry and analytical testing on materials and waste water for battery products.

We are looking for candidates who have hands on experience with ICP testing. Candidates will ideally have a completed Bachelors Degree, but would be open to candidates without one if you have the necessary ICP experience.

Job Description

The Lab Technician performs sample preparation and analytical testing on battery materials and wastewater, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of results, and supports wastewater treatment quality management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for analysis using appropriate preparation and digestion techniques.
• Conduct analytical testing on materials and wastewater in accordance with established methods and regulatory requirements.
• Complete reports and document test results accurately and submit them in a timely manner.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain a variety of laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.
• Perform preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment to ensure reliable operation.
• Conduct limited research to help optimize battery-related processes and improve laboratory methods.
• Ensure the laboratory is well-stocked with necessary supplies and remains organized and orderly.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and established testing methods consistently.
• Prepare chemical solutions and dilutions accurately following specified formulations.
• Perform validation and calibration of laboratory instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.

Qualifications:

• Must have hands-on experience with ICP-OES or ICP-MS instrumentation for analytical testing.
• Bachelors Degree in a scientific field preferred.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Lancaster, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $70000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

Each year: 5 days sick days and 2 weeks PTO at start of calendar year - awarded up front Carry over 40 hours each year
