Description
The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Lab Technician for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Chanhassen, MN. Details for the position are as follows:
Job Description:
- Pay Rate $25.00-30.00 Per Hour
- 9 Month Contract to start
- Operate, maintain, calibrate, and safety-check laboratory equipment
- Perform mechanical, electrical, and thermal property testing of thermal interface materials and coatings
- Conduct standard laboratory testing to support new product introductions and customer samples
- Follow established experimental protocols and maintain accurate laboratory records
- Collect, analyze, and enter data using Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office tools
- Prepare charts, tables, and summaries to communicate test results
- Support laboratory method standardization and harmonization
- Work safely with chemicals and laboratory equipment while following established safety protocols
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of laboratory experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical/scientific field
- Basic laboratory or workshop experience
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow experimental procedures
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to work safely with chemicals and follow laboratory safety procedures
- Ability to stand and work in a laboratory for most of the day
- Strong willingness to learn and ability to work independently
- Degree in Materials Science, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Materials, or Chemical Engineering
- Experience with materials testing, thermal interface materials, or coatings
- Experience operating or maintaining laboratory testing equipment
