Chemist

Our client, a leading organization in the pharmaceutical and health sciences industry, is seeking a Chemist to join their team. As a Chemist, you will be part of the Quality Control department supporting laboratory testing and analysis. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, proactive communication, and a strong commitment to safety, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Chemist

Location: San Fernando, CA

Pay Range: $28-$38/hr

Shift: Monday – Friday, 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm

What's the Job?

• Perform testing and analysis of raw materials, intermediate, and bulk products to determine identity, purity, quality, strength, and composition.
• Utilize core Pharmavite methods for physical testing, wet chemistry, and instrumental analysis.
• Support peer data review and investigational testing as needed to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct physical, chemical, and instrumental testing on raw materials, bulk, and finished products to support QC release, investigations, and method development.
• Document all raw data and results accurately in accordance with Pharmavite Standard Methods and cGMP guidelines.

What's Needed?

• A four-year college or university degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, or related science.
• Basic knowledge of chemistry and analytical chemistry laboratory operations.
• Proficiency with laboratory equipment such as auto titrators, balances, UV, FTIR, HPLC, GC, and ICP.
• Strong data entry and computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively.
