Job Summary

The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for daily logistics tasks, including receiving and verifying inbound deliveries, labeling materials, and storing them in designated areas. The role also involves processing customer orders, managing return-to-vendor items, and maintaining accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System. Forklift experience is required, while previous chemical handling experience is a plus


Job Description

  • Work safely and follow appropriate safety requirements
  • Receive and distribute materials and components into and out of inventory
  • Picking & staging materials per first-expired, first-out rules (FEFO)
  • Put away inbound orders and deliveries
  • Manage and process return-to-vendor items (RMA)
  • Maintain Oracle Inventory
  • Communicate and coordinate issues
  • Proactively seek efficiencies
  • Promote change and adoption of new business tools and methods
  • Communicate inventory issues using developed tools
  • Understand and follow proper spills/emergency cleanup procedures
  • Adhere to processes and procedures
  • Properly label all materials
  • Operate powered industrial equipment
  • Direct interface with internal & external customers
  • Support waste reduction and recycling programs
  • Provide backup support for the distribution department
  • Perform dip-tube exchanges in a clean environment
  • Maintain and participate in the site 5S program
  • Perform various tasks as needed

 

Skills Required

  • 1+ years of experience in chemicals or compressed gases
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to analyze processes and find new approaches to existing processes
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Dedicated to quality and accuracy
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Google Sheets and Docs
  • Ability to utilize system reports to manage inventory
  • Familiarity with Oracle Applications and FabNet
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Emergency Response Team member

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

 

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to pass a drug screening and criminal background check
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification within 3 months
  • Able to obtain Forklift, RCRA, DOT, and Hazmat Certification without restrictions
  • Shift hours: mix of day shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) and night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM)

 

Pay Rate/Salary

  • $20.00/hr. Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location
