Job SummaryWe're looking for a Chemical Process Operator to perform coating, surface preparation, and production support activities used in the repair and manufacturing of aerospace components. In this role, you'll operate equipment, follow detailed work instructions, verify product quality, and support production flow while maintaining safety, quality, and continuous improvement standards.

Shift: 1st shift, Monday-Friday 5:30a-2:00p
What You'll Be Doing
Apply spray coatings and monitor coating processes to ensure compliance with work instructions and customer specifications.Perform surface preparation and production support activities including grit blasting, grinding, sanding, cleaning, brazing, riveting, and other related processes.Operate equipment and perform production tasks in accordance with safety, quality, and operational requirements.Inspect and verify the quality of completed work using measuring and inspection tools.Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and specifications.Complete quality documentation and production records accurately.Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment and work areas.Support production flow by assisting in multiple areas as needed.Maintain compliance with 5S practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Follow all company safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
What We're Looking For
High School Diploma or GED preferred.Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.Strong math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, and fractions.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently when required.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Ability to work safely in a manufacturing setting while following established procedures.Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have
1+ years of manufacturing experience.Experience with thermal spray, coating application, surface preparation, or related manufacturing processes.Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment.Aerospace manufacturing or repair experience.Experience working in a regulated or quality-driven manufacturing environment.Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement programs.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to coatings, chemicals, industrial equipment, noise, dust, and shop conditions.Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and movement throughout the workday.Regular use of production equipment, hand tools, and measuring instruments.Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators, gloves, and other protective equipment as required.Ability to lift, move, and handle parts and materials safely.Must be able to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
