We are seeking a dedicated Chemical Operator to join our clients team in Medina, OH. The Chemical Operator will be responsible for handling the mixing and blending of materials, operating process equipment, and ensuring production meets quality and safety standards. You will play a key part in maintaining efficient operations while strictly following regulatory, safety, and environmental protocols. Hours:

• 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM, Monday through Friday

Pay:

• $25.56 per hour plus a 10% shift differential

Key Responsibilities:

• Mix and blend materials, perform paint matching, and operate process equipment
• Monitor plant equipment and process conditions using gauges and instruments
• Unload rail cars and tank wagons safely and efficiently
• Operate a forklift to stage materials
• Ensure products are made according to manufacturing orders
• Complete production and quality control reports accurately and timely
• Maintain thorough knowledge of processes and equipment
• Conduct quality control analysis during manufacturing, including sampling raw materials
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and understanding chemical hazards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or higher preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment (paint/color matching experience is a plus)
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work overtime and night shifts as needed

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience operating process equipment and forklifts
• Background in paint or color matching
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed directions

Preferred Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or higher
• 2+ years in chemical plant operations
• Paint or color matching experience preferred

Other Requirements:

• Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and moving heavy drums over 440 lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in extreme temperatures, indoors and outdoors
• Must understand MSDS protocols and safety procedures
