Mixing Technician
(Chemical Operator)
ROLE DEFINITION
As a Mixing Technician (Chemical Operator) you will be responsible and accountable for the safe and efficient mixing of batches of chemical materials by adding raw materials into a mixing pot. This role requires a moderate amount of overtime throughout the week and sometimes on Saturdays.
RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION
" Your key responsibilities will be/what you'll do:
" Adhere to quality and safety systems and standards
" Handle hazardous raw materials and products with appropriate care and precaution
" Monitor process conditions and equipment
" Participate in the creation and the maintenance of a clean work area
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements:
" High School education or GED equivalent is required.
" Experience operating a fork truck is a plus
" Experience working in a manufacturing environment or clean room is preferred
" Willing and able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment as required
" Willing and able to work in a restricted, electrically classified area for use of flammable and combustible materials
" Able to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs
Qualifications:
This opening is for ONE Mixing Technician
2nd Shift: 2 - 10pm with a paid 30-minute meal break.
Training for the position may take place during 1st shift hours (6am - 2:30pm) for approx. 1 - 3 weeks.
