Laboratory Technician OverviewWork under the supervision of a Senior Technician or Chemist while performing laboratory testing and experimentation with a high level of initiative and independence. Support the testing and evaluation of coatings through established laboratory procedures. Accurately collect, record, summarize, and communicate experimental results using laboratory notebooks and computer-based documentation. Prepare cleaners, pretreatments, paints, and coatings from chemical ingredients according to established procedures. Utilize Microsoft Office applications to organize project data, charts, and tables for effective communication of results. Perform performance testing on coated substrates while following laboratory protocols and maintaining a safe working environment.
