Job Description:
- Pay: $22.00- 28.00/hr to start.
- 6- month contract to start with the possibility of extension or conversion based on budget and performance.
- Shift: Standard day shift, Monday-Friday, onsite position.
- Position will mainly be responsible for managing chemical management systems from procurement through disposal while ensuring compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, RCRA, and site EHS requirements.
- Responsibilities also include operating daily chemical dispensary activities, managing SDSs, chemical labeling and inventory, and supporting the site Hazard Communication and Chemical Hygiene programs.
- Position will also be responsible for providing technical expertise in chemical EHS reviews, waste classification and disposal, chemical shipping and receiving, emergency preparedness and response, and developing cost-effective chemical management solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- 1-3 years of chemical management relations is required, academically or professionally.
- Knowledge or experience with OSHA/ DOT/ and EPA regulations is required.
- DOT certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of tools and digital systems that support chemical management, such as, SAP, EtQ, 3EVerisk, or SABA is preferred.
