This position is located on-site in Arlington, VA. 

Job Overview: Responsibilities:

Essential Job Duties:

•  Manage physical plant and building operations, including power plants supporting large facilities.
• Supervise engineering and maintenance personnel with responsibility for daily operations, troubleshooting, and long-term planning.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and technical standards.
• Oversee maintenance, repairs, and operation of critical building systems and equipment.
• Coordinate with leadership, contractors, and inspectors on operational requirements and facility support.
• Maintain readiness to operate within a facility requiring Secret-level clearance.

 

Job Requirements:

Mandatory:

• Certifications in equipment operations.
• Five (5) or more years of supervisory experience in physical plant and building operations, including power plants for large facilities.
• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• Must hold one of the following:
  
  • – Association for Facilities Engineers (AFE) Certificate as an Operating Professional Engineer (OPE)
  • – United States Coast Guard Third Assistant Engineer License (Steam, Motor, or Gas Turbine vessels of any horsepower)
  • – U.S. State Stationary Engineer License
• District of Columbia 3rd Class Steam Engineer License (must obtain 1st Class License within two years of hire).
