Position: Cheerleading Head Coach

Bring your passion, leadership, and school spirit to Manchester University as our next Cheerleading Head Coach! In this dynamic role, you will lead and grow a competitive cheer program while supporting the academic and personal success of student-athletes. You'll oversee all aspects of the program-from recruiting and training to scheduling, budgeting, and fundraising-while fostering a positive, inclusive team culture aligned with NCAA Division III values.
What You'll Do:
- Lead, coach, and mentor student-athletes; plan and conduct practices and training sessions
- Recruit and retain student-athletes committed to both athletic and academic success
- Monitor and support student-athlete eligibility in collaboration with campus partners
- Develop and manage program budget, equipment, travel, and scheduling logistics
- Execute recruitment and retention strategies; track and report program outcomes
- Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and university policies
- Promote team visibility through collaboration with athletics communications and campus events
- Foster a culture of sportsmanship, safety, and accountability
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree or relevant coaching experience preferred
- Experience in NCAA Division III athletics (as coach or student-athlete) preferred
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and student-athlete development
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel
